WHAT'S HAPPENING?And just like that, February has been and gone. Most of the month for our staff was concentrated around the delivery of the Art Awards and Exhibition, which was a fabulous success. A great deal of time was also spent out of hours to ensure the success of the event - thanks team - and also to the many volunteers who gave their time across the whole week!
Outside of the Art Awards, our art classes are back in full swing, with drawing twice and painting once per month, led by the very talented instructor, Bev Bagby. We also held a sale of discarded library items which provided the community with many bargains. Stay tuned for the next sale! Exercise sessions have been attracting amazing numbers and with three classes to choose from each week, there is something for everyone! See the opposite page for what sessions are available. The CRC is excited to announce that it has been successful in receiving another Regional Traineeship Grant from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. Details will be available soon regarding this traineeship position. We have also received funding through Linkwest and the WA Primary Health Alliance to promote and deliver information around End of Life Planning. As part of this, we are hosting a free information session on Advance Care Planning on Wednesday, March 18 from 1-3pm. All welcome. RECYCLING HUB
The BBCRC Recycling Hub continues to attract many users, and has diverted more than 1 tonne of hard-to-recycle items from our landfill!
It currently collects 13 items. Click here for more recycling information. LOCAL BOOKS & CDs FOR SALE

LIBRARY UPDATEStories, Rhymes and Fun Times
Stories, Rhymes and Fun Times continues each Thursday from 10-11am and we have welcomed some new families in 2026. Mr. Bear continues his adventures around the community with visits to the playground, shearing sheds, meeting new friends - I wonder what he’ll get up to this month! Get ready, book explorers... The Golden Feather Hunt is swooping back into libraries across WA! From 3rd March to 8th May, young West Australians (up to 18 years old) can embark upon a fantastic treasure hunt! Check out a Junior or Young Adult book from your local library to see if a special feather-shaped bookmark hides inside... Plain Feathers: are yours to decorate! Post a photo and tag @scribblersfest, to enter the weekly draw to win a book. Emerald Feathers: finding one of these nets an instant book prize. Silver Feathers: only 20 libraries in the state have these! Each worth a signed book. Golden Feather: the rarest of all... grant a successful hunter a Scribblers book pack and an e-reader! The Golden Feather Hunt is presented by FORM Building a State of Creativity’s Scribblers Festival. ANNUAL REPORT |
