"SENIORS STAND UP"

A great day was had by a group of Boyup Brook and Bridgetown Seniors as they participated in "Seniors Stand Up", as part of "Stay on Your Feet Week".
The event included a bus trip to the Bridgetown-Greenbushes Recreation Centre, listening to Occupational Therapist Dyan Dent, participating in a Living Longer Living Stronger Exercise Class, and a delicious lunch.
"Stay on Your Feet Week" - promoting healthy active ageing in WA and raising awareness that falls are preventable and not a consequence of ageing.

The Boyup Brook Telecentre has been successful in securing funding for a Telstra Connected Seniors series of training to assist older community members with using their mobile phone, accessing the internet and sending emails. Training details available from the Telecentre website |
