What's new at the Telecentre? ROYALTIES FOR
REGIONS: The Boyup Brook Telecentre acknowledges and
commends Minister Brendon Grylls on the Royalties for Regions
program. This program has impacted positively on the
Telecentre network as a whole with the end result being more
services and improved infrastructure for rural communities.
Telecentres will soon be known as Community Resource Centres which
accurately reflects the profile Telecentres have in each rural
town. For more information on the R4R program visit the
following Royalties for
Regions
Through the Royalties for Regions program the Telecentre has
recently received $10,000 to assist with upgrading of
infrastructure and equipment. These funds have been used to
upgrade the Telecentres administration computer network.
BOYUP BROOK GAZETTE: The Telecentre now prints
the Boyup Gazette on its new Risograph printer. Jodi has been
working with Editor, Anne Beadle, assisting to produce the Gazette
and now we can print locally, thanks to funding from
Lotterywest and the Telecentre Support Branch. |
